West Ham Manager Success Stats
With Avram Grant well and truly settling into his role as the latest in a long list of West Ham Managers, we take a look back at the strike rate of his predecessors and just what Avram need to do to become known as a success.
It’s not a huge task ahead of him.
Zola has been our worse performing Manager in history with his Win Ratio falling to a dismal 28.75%. No other Manager has stooped below the 30% mark, however Glenn Roeder wasn’t too far off it with 31.4%.
Our most successful Manager, Billy Bonds, maintained a success rate of 43.61% over a period of 227 games, where as our longest serving manager, John Lyall, maintained a healthy win strike rate of 39.12%.
And what of the current Tottenham Hotspurs Manager Harry Redknapp? He managed 37% over his 327 games in charge of the Hammers….. that’s 2.44% worse than Alan Curbishley (39.44%).
Below are two graphs showing the success rate of the West Ham Managers. We’ve flipped the x and y axis just to confuse and disorient you as well. We see the total number of Games as Manager, with the Win Loss Draw numbers and finally the Win %.
