At the moment I couldn’t agree with you more. The good points I’ve seen so far though is that

Although poor against Oxford in all, we ground out a win and didn’t concede any goals
Against Bolton we peppered the away end goal constantly during the first half, we were just lacking the finishing touch
Against Man United, although well defeated there was some nice football played for short stints during the game, again just lacking that penetration in the box

It’s going to be a long season, and 9th is a bit of the dream, but we should start to see some results turn our way and happier days to follow.

I watched the game against Oxford and judging our performances from the last 4 games, I honestly don’t know where we finish but 9th is becoming a distant dream already.

Disappointingly todays game against Manchester United is our first correct prediction. I’m hoping we’re correct against against our old foes Chelsea and manage a point, hoping our season starts the week after against Stoke.

Nice tip Martin, I’m more of a paddy power person myself but certainly worth a punt.

After showing this around to a few fans we’re going to make a few changes to make it a bit less cluttered.
1) The title will change to “West Ham Predicted Season Results 2010/2011″ and we
2) Remove the number of points for each game and make the boxes a bit more spaced.

We also thought about revisiting the statistics table and getting the statistical score for each of the matches in place of the number of points……

Nice bit of statistical analysis, probably worth a putting a tenner on placing ninth at William Hill.
